To commemorate the 100th anniversary of literary giant, poet and thinker, Octavio Paz, students in ASPV’s Latin-American literature class displayed a literary installation art piece in the secondary school walkway. Hanging from lines above the walkway were printed thoughts and outtakes from works of the Nobel Prize winning writer. Included was “Niña,” which Paz dedicated to his daughter Laura Elena Paz Garro, who coincidentally passed away this Sunday, March 30 at age 74.
