We, the members of the community of the American School of Puerto Vallarta, believe that a sound and comprehensive education is guided by a philosophy which includes a commitment to:
 An American model of education, which incorporates the Mexican education system and places value on the process as well as the product, with an understanding that learners develop at a natural pace unique to each individual.
The education of students as bilingual and multicultural, and the belief that this will engender a global perspective that encourages individuals to focus and act effectively upon concerns that affect their community, their country and their planet.
