Colegio Americano gave me an extraordinary bilingual education where I learned about different worlds and cultures. I earned a scholarship which has given me the opportunity to study and excel in the United States.

 MEET ONE OF OUR STUDENTS
Alex Trolson - age 12Alex Trolson attended the American School of Puerto Vallarta during the 2002-2003 school year along with his sister Callie, age 9. Alex was born in Seattle, Washington and frequently visited Puerto Vallarta on family vacations, starting at 10 months old. Last fall the family temporarily relocated to Puerto Vallarta to offer the children exposure to another culture and to learn Spanish. Alex loved his experience at the school.

On his first day of school, he was "adopted" by another American student and had no difficulty adjusting to the new school. He played soccer after school 2 days a week and had an extra hour of Spanish through the homework assistance program. Upon returning home to Seattle, his 6th grade teacher was very impressed with his achievement and he received the "Student of the Month" award. Alex is entering junior high this fall and is taking high school Spanish. He plans to become fluent in Spanish.

 MEET ONE OF OUR GRADUATES
Francisco Dean Seaney Torres"Pancho" Seaney began primary school at the Colegio Americano and graduated in June 2001. Every year he sang in the special chorus and had important roles in many school plays and musicals. Pancho is an outstanding athlete who taught swimming classes, which helped to support him financially. Perhaps best remembered for his contributions to the school community, Pancho spent his years at the American School as a student leader and willing volunteer in community service activities.

Pancho is now studying at The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina with an exceptionally rigorous curriculum that demands absolute dedication to academic studies, physical fitness, and pre-military training. Pancho plans to go into the United States military upon graduation and will enter as an officer. His goal is to pursue a graduate education in international business.
