Teachers Recognized for 30 Years of Service

      Ms. Rocio Gomez and Mr. Phil Marks recently received recognition from the Secretaría de Educación Pública for 30 years of service to the teaching profession. Ms. Gomez and Mr. Marks are both primary school teachers at the American School of Puerto Vallarta.

     ¨Before you realize it 30 years have come and gone and you have taught nearly a thousand children - a thousand minds, a thousand futures. Your hope as a teacher is that you have had a positive influence on your students in some way,¨ Mr. Marks said. ¨That is why it is very gratifying to meet former students who have become beautiful, productive adults.¨
