The seniors created their own mini documentaries on a variety of social issues in sociology class with Ms. Pamela. Students were first introduced to this project through a lecture and workshop from a professional filmmaker. From then, they set to work on their films independently. The movies premiered (with a full audience!) during the seniors’ final week in school. The themes range from cell phone addiction to the treatment of women, stress in schools, the Mexican judicial system, modern slavery, and even how to live long and fulfilling lives – all from sociological angles. Here are three of the movies. Lights, camera, action!
