The Mexican spirit, colors and sounds were present and felt at the American School of Puerto Vallarta as the Mexican Independence celebrations got underway. The primary school held it’s annual “dieciséis” celebration with a more than spectacular program. Festivities included the color guard honoring the Mexican flag, singing of the Mexican anthem, a reenactment of “el grito” by students, live mariachis, and typical Mexican dance performances by student groups.

The celebration’s grand finale was a performance by primary students, teachers and staff performing a choreographed number for all in attendance. A huge thank you to all the participants and everyone who joined us for the amazing festivities. Happy Mexican Independence!!
