Extra Curricular

We believe that education extends outside the classroom, and that extra curricular activities are an integral part of building a positive school community. We offer a variety of student programs and projects to help our students become more thoughtful, open-minded, self-reliant, responsible, and creative people.

NHS
The American School has a very active National Honor Society program for high-achieving, motivated students in grades 10 to 12. Since 2005 they have led the regionally acclaimed community service project Leer y Crecer (Read and Grow, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. A more recent NHS project is Vive un Vallarta Verde (Live a Green Vallarta), encouraging the school community to protect the environment by beach cleaning and recycling.
