The entire ASPV High School spent the day at the Primaria Netzahualcoyotl in an ambitious project to bring improvements to the school, offer education classes and share some laughter and fun with the children.

The ASPV eleventh grade Social Leadership class, with Miss Swedlow, visited the school to find out their needs and look for ways to be of assistance. Just two weeks later they returned with the entire school to lead improvement projects that included a complete library remodel, an upgrade of the cafeteria area, the remodel of tables and chairs for the students during lunch, a newly painted sports yard, and a beautiful mural. In addition to these improvement projects, several of the groups offered classes to the students during the day including hygiene and health care, environmental education, and reading assistance. The parents of the school provided food for the visiting students and it was a fun day for all!

Congratulations to the students, teachers and staff that participated to make this event happen. We learned that by coordinating our efforts and giving 100%, we really can make a difference!

The Primaria Netzahualcoyotl is located in the community of Villa las Flores, just a quick five minute drive from ASPV and offers education to 140 students in first to sixth grade.
