1st QUARTER NOTICES OF CONCERN will be sent home with students on Wednesday, September 24th.
Las NOTAS DE PREOCUPACION del 1er cuarto se enviarán a casa con los estudiantes el miércoles 24 de septiembre.
TRAFFIC RULES
1. The gates in the high school will not be opened until 2:40. Parents picking up students at the high school gate should not line up before then and will not be allowed to wait on front of school until the gates open.
2. Primary Parents can start getting in line at 2:20.
3. Using your identification tag, color according to the gate where you pick up your children, orange for high school, green for primary & yellow for preschool, is very useful for the staff.
Not all security guards can recognize the different cars and family members, it is still the beginning of the new school year and new families have joined the school.
4. Cars move in one single line picking up children at the different gates.
5. Parking along the school side of the street is not permitted. That area is the pick-up lane. You may park in the white area by the preschool or in Plaza Marina.
6. Students you are picking up must be ready to get in the car. Parents whose children are not ready and waiting at the gate will be asked to continue on and circle back.
7. No U-Turns in the school zone.
REGLAMENTO DE VIALIDAD
1. La sección de secundaria y preparatoria ABRIRÁ SUS PUERTAS A LA HORA DE SALIDA HASTA LAS 2:40 P.M. Los padres de familia que recogen alumnos en esta área no deberán hacer línea antes de esta hora, ya que no estará permitido esperar en frente de la escuela hasta que las puertas sean abiertas.
2. Los padres de primaria pueden empezar a formarse a las 14:20 horas
3. Es muy importante utilizar su letrero de identificación; naranja para secundaria, verde para la primaria y amarillo para preescolar. Para el personal del colegio, es muy difícil recordar el nombre de todas familias y sus coches.
4. Los coches deben avanzan en una sola fila parando en las diferentes puertas.
5. No se pueden estacionar frente al Colegio. Ese carril está reservado para recoger a los niños. Se pueden estacionar en la línea blanca adelante de la puerta de Preescolar o en Plaza Marina.
6. Los alumnos deben estar listos en su puerta para subir al coche. Si el alumno no está listo, el papá deberá avanzar y formarse de nuevo o estacionarse para recoger a su hijo(a).
7. Les rogamos de no dar vuelta en U frente al Colegio.
As part of our COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM our math teachers and some high school students are offering MATH TUTORING at no charge on Mondays from 2:45 to 3:30 pm in room 2. All students from grade 7 to 12 are welcome to come and improve their math skills.
Como servicio comunitario, nuestros maestros de matemáticas y algunos alumnos de preparatoria están ofreciendo TUTORIAS DE MATEMATICAS gratuitas los Lunes de 2:45 a 3:30 pm en el salón 2. Todos los alumnos de 7o a 12º que deseen mejorar sus habilidades matemáticas están cordialmente invitados.
In Commemoration of the Mexican Independence Day there will be no classes on Monday and Tuesday, September the 15th and the 16th. VIVA MEXICO!!!
Debido al Aniversario de la Independencia de México, no tendremos clases los días lunes y martes 15 y 16 de septiembre. VIVA MEXICO!!!
MAP TESTING (Measure of Academic Progress) From September the 17th to 26th, students from grades 7 – 11 will be having the MAP testing to evaluate their academic performance in English Language & Reading, Math and Science, identifying students in need of extra support, and what each student should focus on next in their education.
Los Exámenes MAP que son exámenes estandarizados para medir el Progreso Académico de nuestros alumnos se llevarán a cabo del 17 al 26 de septiembre, los alumnos de 7o a 11o estarán tomando los exámenes estandarizados MAP los cuales evaluarán su desempeño académico en Lectura y Lengua Inglesa, Matemáticas y Ciencias, identificando a los alumnos que necesiten ayuda extra y las área educativas en las que deberán trabajar más.
School uniforms. According to the Student Code of Conduct, students are expected to attend class daily, wearing their uniform and properly groomed. Students out of uniform or not complying with these rules will not be allowed to enter the school. P.E. uniforms may be worn only during that class period.
uniformes: De acuerdo al código de conducta, los alumnos deben asistir a clases, usando apropiadamente su uniforme. Quienes vengan a la escuela sin el uniforme completo, no se les permitirá entrar a sus clases. El uniforme de deportes debe ser usado solamente en el periodo de esa clase.

You must indicate the student’s name and payment month (without this information, the payment cannot be applied). All related receipts will be available at the school’s cashier’s office once the transfer has been carried out.

Favor de indicar el nombre del estudiante y mes de pago, sin esta información no podremos aplicar los pagos a su favor. Todos los recibos podrán recogerlos en la caja del Colegio, después de que la transferencia se haya llevado a cabo.
Attendance: Students are expected to attend classes regularly. When a student has more than 10 unexcused absences in one semester they will lose the right to present their semester exam in that subject getting a zero. Parents are encouraged to plan family travel and vacations during holidays, since these absences will otherwise be considered unexcused. Sickness and family emergencies are considered excused absences.
Students who have been absent from school should present a written explanation from their parents for their absence on the day they return to school, if this note is not presented on that day, the absence will be considered unexcused.
Students arriving late to the first class will no be admitted and will receive a zero for the period unless they have an admission slip.
Asistencia: Los estudiantes deben asistir a clases regularmente. Cuando un alumno acumule más de 10 faltas injustificadas en una clase al final del semestre, perderá derecho a presentar el examen semestral de la materia recibiendo un cero. Se les pide que planeen sus viajes familiares durante las vacaciones, ya que dichas faltas son consideradas injustificadas. Las faltas por enfermedad o emergencias familiares son consideradas justificadas.
Quienes falten deberán presentar una justificación por escrito de sus papas el día que regresen a clases de lo contrario la falta será injustificada.
Los estudiantes que lleguen tarde al colegio por la mañana, no serán admitidos en el primer periodo de clase y tendrá un cero en el trabajo de ese día en dicha clase.
