Students in Mr. Sam Uber’s science class at the American School researched the different types of rovers that scientists use to gather information on Mars. They then explored what it would be like to drive a rover on Mars by simulating the experience using mobile their mobile phones, facetime or Skype application and a little imagination.

Some students were the actual rover which wore blindfolds and held a camera phone that sent a video to the driver. The driver was in a different room and had to send directions to the rover of where to go after viewing the images through the screen on their phone. Students soon realized how difficult this task must be for the NASA scientists and engineers.
