World lit learns about Indian epic poems

The students in Miss Wilson’s World Literature class had a fabulous time learning the classic Indian epic poem from 2,500 years ago. This narrative is a 24,000 verse poem that was originally written in Sanskrit.  The story mainly focuses on the ideal person who follows his dharma. The struggle of the divine prince Rama to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana was certainly an example of nobility, heroism and tradition.  This unit on Indian literature is always a hit with the students. Congratulations!
