At ASPV, service and sustainability are core values that shape our students’ educational experience. From K1 to 12th grade, students participate in year-round initiatives that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering leadership, empathy, and a sense of responsibility. By working with NGOs, local associations, and public schools, our students actively contribute to meaningful change—turning learning into action.
SUSTAINABILITY FAIR Showcasing Innovation & Impact
Our annual Sustainability Fair is a celebration of student-driven efforts to address global challenges at the local level. Throughout the year, students research, design, and implement environmental and social impact projects, tackling issues such as waste reduction, conservation, education equity, and community well-being.
At the fair, students showcase their work to their peers, parents, and community members, demonstrating creative solutions that support a more sustainable future. The event also welcomes NGOs, local organizations, and community leaders, fostering dialogue and collaboration between students and experts. More than just a presentation, the Sustainability Fair is a powerful platform where ideas meet action, and young changemakers inspire real-world progress.
SERVICE DAY Learning Through Action
One day each year, the entire Middle and High School community steps outside the classroom for Service Day—a hands-on experience that allows students to actively contribute to the well-being of Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas.
On this day, students take on a variety of service projects, including:
- Mentoring and teaching children at local schools and community centers.
- Supporting NGOs and associations by assisting with their daily operations.
- Renovating and improving public spaces, painting schools, and restoring playgrounds.
- Participating in environmental initiatives, such as beach clean-ups and reforestation efforts.
Beyond the physical work, Service Day fosters a deep understanding of social challenges and the importance of civic engagement. Students develop essential life skills—problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership—while seeing firsthand how their efforts can create a positive impact.
At ASPV, community engagement is more than an extracurricular activity—it’s a pillar of our education. Through purposeful action and meaningful connections, our students develop the mindset and skills needed to be responsible, compassionate global citizens who make a difference in the world.
STEM+ OUTREACH Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators
At ASPV, we believe that STEM+ (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and more!) is a gateway to endless possibilities. Through our STEM+ Outreach Program, we extend our commitment to education beyond our campus, inviting children from local public schools to discover the excitement of science, technology, and innovation.
Led by our Middle and High School students, this initiative creates meaningful connections between aspiring young learners and experienced student mentors. Through interactive activities, hands-on experiments, and engaging games, participants explore key STEM+ concepts in a dynamic and accessible way. Our students share their knowledge, passion, and real-world projects, fostering curiosity and igniting a love for discovery in every child who participates.
This outreach program is more than just learning—it’s about empowerment, collaboration, and making a difference in our community. By inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers and creative thinkers, we help shape a future where innovation and education go hand in hand.
Join us as we bring STEM+ to life and create opportunities for young minds to explore, experiment, and dream big!
