ASPV LIBRARIES

The ASPV School Libraries empower students to become effective users of information and responsible, ethical citizens in the 21st century. Through instruction in information literacy, we help students develop critical research skills while ensuring access to diverse resources in multiple formats. Our libraries foster a love for reading, research, and intellectual exploration, inspiring students to think critically and creatively. Librarians collaborate with teachers to develop instructional strategies that support academic success and align with the school’s educational objectives.

ASPV has two libraries designed to support student learning at every level: the Elementary Library, which fosters early literacy and a love for reading, and the Middle & High School Library, which provides resources for advanced research and critical thinking.

Students, staff, and parents are welcome to visit both libraries to explore our collections, borrow materials, conduct research, study, and use the available computers. As the literacy and information hubs of our school, our libraries play a vital role in academic achievement and lifelong learning.

Together, our libraries house a diverse selection of books, magazines, and audiovisual materials, with a total collection of over 14,000 titles. We also provide access to computers, Wi-Fi, and digital resources. Our online library catalog, Destiny, can be accessed anytime, anywhere with an internet connection.

K-6 LIBRARY

In the K-6 Library, students embark on an exciting journey as curious explorers of information, critical thinkers, and lifelong readers. The library serves as a dynamic space where young minds are encouraged to discover the joy of reading and the power of knowledge. Our goal is to inspire a deep love for books, foster a passion for learning, and create a welcoming, engaging environment that sparks imagination and curiosity. Through a wide range of carefully curated books and interactive activities, students not only develop their literacy skills but also build the foundation for a lifetime of exploration and learning.

Our Elementary Library is a place where curiosity grows, stories come to life, and a love for reading begins!

Borrowing Books

Students visit the library once a week for dedicated library time—Early Childhood classes for 30 minutes and Pre-1st to 6th grade for 45 minutes. Book borrowing is based on the return of previously checked-out books, ensuring that all students have access to our collection.

• Pre-1st to 6th grade students may borrow up to two books at a time.

• Books are due in two weeks, but students are encouraged to bring them to their weekly library class for renewal or exchange.

• Overdue notices are sent to parents as a reminder, though no fines are charged for late returns.

MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY

The Middle & High School Library is more than just a place for reading and research—it serves as a vibrant hub of learning, creativity, and collaboration. Designed to foster intellectual curiosity and academic excellence, the library provides students with access to a vast collection of books, digital resources, and research tools that support their academic journey. Beyond being a space for quiet study, it is an idea-center where students come together to exchange knowledge, explore new perspectives, and engage in enriching discussions.

Whether you’re researching, collaborating, or just looking for a great book, the Middle & High School Library is here to support you every step of the way!
